A visit of approximately 1 hour inside an entirely hand-dug ancient hypogeum oil mill, well preserved thanks to unprecedented restoration techniques is with no doubt an experience to discover Salento and its traditions.<\/p>\n
Immersed in the hypogean atmosphere lit by oil lanterns recovered on site and reproduced according to the ancient customs, the guests wear VR visors and live an \u201cimmersive\u201d experience, thanks to a jump back in times, finding themselves in a full operating oil mill of the 1600s.<\/p>\n
The technology reconnects us with the history\u2028of our land, creating a unique cultural moment, re-enacting the sacrifice and\u2028hard work at the base of the production and trade of lamp oil, the most important economic activity of our past.<\/p>\n
The guest can also join the tasting of the extra virgin olive oil tasting, produced by monumental ancient olive trees, typical of Puglia and of Salento.<\/p>\n
